This is a tricky one… MasterCrêpes is a company specialised in events. We haven’t got an everyday market or a shop (yet) but we move all around. However, the best way to find us at the moment is on the Greenwich Royal Naval College every weekend from mid-March until the end of September and in Harpenden for the farmers market 10am-2pm every 4th Sunday of the Month.
Oh yes. MasterCrêpes is a catering company fully registered with Watford Borough Council we have held a 5-star rating every year since the beginning. Our Public Liability Insurance covers up to £10million.
We are also NCASS members so all of our Gas certificates, PAT testing certificates, Risk assessments (Heath, Food, Fire) are listed and accessible to anyone on the NCASS website.
With the MasterCrêpes stalls, we are fully flexible to adapt ourselves to your requirements.
The outdoor set-up requires the space for a 3mx3m professional gazebo. If the weather is good in the summer we can also set up a crêpe bar with a 3mx2m footprint.
Indoor, the minimum space is 3mx2m.
Most of the time we are self-sufficient in running our LPG gas griddles and using our own water supply.
We need a power supply if we trade at after dark or indoors: at night to plug in the lights, indoor for the electric griddles. In the latter case we need one electric socket per griddle. Our electric griddles need a 3kW supply (13 amp) each.
Yes, we enjoy doing vegan events every year. We use our vegan buckwheat galettes as a base and we create a vegan menu for you. It is always a success! You can find a sample vegan menu here.
For the sweet teeth we recommend our lemon & sugar or the dark Belgian chocolate galettes!
Yes. We have years of experience in catering for customers affected by Coeliac disease. Our Galettes only contain buckwheat flour, water and a pinch of salt. Unlike the name suggests, buckwheat is wheat-free. However during the milling process some buckwheat flours can become contaminated with gluten and therefore are usually sold as a “low-gluten” product.
Whilst Galettes are traditionally made to accompany savoury ingredients, they go remarkably well with the sweet toppings too and are very popular.
If you require strictly gluten-free galettes, we can source certified gluten-free buckwheat flour for you. Our Galette batters are always prepared before our Crêpe batters, but as they are prepared in the same kitchen environment they may contain traces of gluten.
Yes. If it’s the crêpe batter you’re after, then we can prepare this with alternative milks, but it would still contain eggs. Our Galette batter is naturally vegan.
We have attended several nut-free school events without our trusted Nutella, however given the environment in which all of our equipment is usually used, the Crêpes & Galettes may always have traces of nuts. Therefore we would not recommend our products to anyone with a severe nut allergy.
Yes we do. We never use pre-mixed blends and we use only fresh ingredients.
We are based in Watford and we trade mainly all around the city. In case of a big event we can travel up to 3 hours from our base.
Yes we do. MasterCrêpes was one of the first market stalls to use a portable credit card machine in England back in 2013. We used the first version of the iZettle card reader and today we work with iZettle, Paypal or Square contactless machines.
No, at the moment MasterCrêpes is not a VAT registered company. The quote is all-inclusive.
If you book us for a Galette and Crêpe package you don’t need to worry about anything. We will take care of your hungry guests, believe us!

If you want to do an event during a weekend it is better to book us quite a few months before. We are extremely busy during the spring and summer weekends. The weekday events are easier to book. Either way give us a shout and we will always try to accommodate your event.
